April 30th, 2024, the Brattleboro Bears take down the Windsor Yellow Jackets in a blowout win, 26-0. Junior pitcher, Jayke Glidden, had the best outing of his high school career, with 15 strikeouts in 5 innings.

Coming into this game 0-4 on the year, the Bears were not off to a hot start. But this win was just what they needed to get their confidence back. The game was mercy-ruled in the 5th inning.

This was a dominant pitching game for Jayke Glidden. Glidden faced 16 batters, and struck out 15. This was an outstanding game for Glidden, also getting a pair of hits, earning himself player of the game.

The hitting for the Bears was on. Juniors, Sam Bogart, John Satterfield, Harper Cutler, Evan Wright, Zach Corbeil, Jayke Glidden, and senior Jolie Glidden came to play. Cutler was the dominant offensive player, going 3-4 with 2 runs batted in, and 4 runs scored. This was Cutler's best game of the season.

When asked what motivates Cutler after a slow start to the season, Cutler said, “My team motivates me, because we all still believe in each other. We come to the field each day with high energy, ready to work. The 0-4 start didn't put us down, if anything it motivated us more because we know we’re better than what the record says.”

May 2nd, the Bears take on Northampton at 7pm. This is a non-conference game, but a win is exactly what Brattleboro needs to keep rolling.
